Will it be worth?

 

Around 20% of electric energy generated in the world is from the hydroelectric. Currently, there is a project for the construction of a factory in the state of Pará, whose finality of using water force to generate electric energy. If the building of this hydroelectric happens, negative consequences will be checked, like the devastation of a big natural area, besides of its high cost.

Although it represents a clean and renewable energy source, its creation will result in the change of the flow of the Xingú river, with the reduction of the water flow affecting the local flora and fauna and introduzing several socio-economic impacts. With thus, the building will provoke the loss of jobs and income, formation of puddles and the consequent arise of favorable environment to mosquitoes that transmit diseases.

The perform of the construction will also present big cost production, and the money destined to the construction will be from the payment of taxes by the national population. Besides that, unlike what people thinks the energy generated will not supply the more needy communities.

Based on the conclusions of the building, it is noticed that be beneficial, once that it will provoke more loss than advantages. Therefore, the plant construction must be canceled and also a formation of a new project that is aimed at generation of electric energy without harming nature and people must be replaced.
